Study warns: 25% increase in Premier League injuries
A study revealed that the English Premier League players will increase their chances of infection by 25% during the coming period, with the championship resuming after a period of interruption due to the spread of the new Corona virus.
The artificial intelligence company which specializes in issuing injury risk reports, and which works with 35 professional players around the world, confirmed that playing 8 games during a period of 30 days increases the likelihood of injury by 25% compared to half of this number during the same period Timeline.
In the normal season, only 4% of the players have to play this many matches during this small period of time (a month), but this will change with the Premier League resuming next month.
The Premier League is expected to return in mid-June and end in late July, when 92 matches will be played.
Looking at a team like Manchester City and the summer runners-up, if the league resumes on June 20, it could play 13 games in 49 days.
These calculations may change due to the results of the teams in the Champions League.
Liverpool are at the top of the Premier League, with 82 points, 25 points behind the title holders.
